Just Do What the Lord Commands

Is it profitable to obey the Lord? Are there not times when doing what He says will produce nothing?
Jesus once told Peter to go to the deeper part of the Sea of Galilee, drop down his nets, and he would catch fish. Peter told the Lord that they had fished all night and did not catch a thing, but Peter assured the Lord that he would do as instructed, perhaps to prove himself right and the Lord wrong.
Then this happened, “And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink” (Luke 5:6-7).
When the Lord tells us to do something, even if we cannot see the reason for doing it, or if we cannot see how it will help, do it anyway, and let the Lord be concerned about the results.
