King of the "Dear Upright People"

Shortly before dying, Moses blessed the children of Israel, and spoke of God, saying,
“And He was King in Jeshurun,
When the leaders of the people were gathered,
All the tribes of Israel together.”
(Deuteronomy 33:5)
“Jeshurun” was, “a poetical name for the people of Israel, used in token of affection, meaning, ‘the dear upright people'” (Easton’s Dictionary).
Yes, Israel often angered the Lord, but He also loved them dearly, even as sometimes He may be angry with us, but that does not deny His love for us.
Remember who is your King and love Him and obey Him always.
