Great Self-Control

May God give us all the self-control of Jesus, as demonstrated when He remained silent in the face of false accusations, “And the chief priests accused Him of many things, but He answered nothing. Then Pilate asked Him again, saying, ‘Do You answer nothing? See how many things they testify against You!’ But Jesus still answered nothing, so that Pilate marveled” (Mark 15:3-5).
Pilate could not understand why Jesus was not fighting for His life, but sometimes it does no good to counter people because their minds are made up, and Jesus was destined for the cross.
We are His disciples, which means that we should learn from His example, and imitate it.
