Og Was a Big Guy!

Imagine the size of Og’s bed, “For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of the giants. Indeed his bedstead was an iron bedstead. (Is it not in Rabbah of the people of Ammon?) Nine cubits is its length and four cubits its width, according to the standard cubit” (Deuteronomy 3:11).
Using 18 inches as the minimum for a cubit, Og’s iron bed was 13 feet, 6 inches long, and 6 feet wide. That does not mean he was that tall and wide, but his bed had to accommodate his size so that he could sleep comfortably.
Goliath was 9 feet, 9 inches tall, but Og seems to have been taller. If his bed had a clearance of 1 foot above his head and another foot below his feet, he was 11 feet, 6 inches tall, and probably between 3 and 4 feet wide at the shoulders. These are just my best guesses, but they give an idea of how huge this man was, and his people were all like that.
Yet, they all fell before Israel, because God was with them.
What odds does the church face? Can we conquer them? Is the Lord with us as He was with Israel?
