Do Not Fear

Why did Israel wander in the wilderness for forty years? They feared the people who lived in the Land of Canaan, believing that they would defeat Israel in any battle. Therefore, Joshua and Caleb said to the people, “Only do not rebel against the LORD, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the LORD is with us. Do not fear them” (Numbers 14:9).
Fearing the people more than fearing God meant that they would rebel against the Lord, for He had told them that they could conquer the land. The Lord was with them, therefore, they could do anything.
Do you believe that for yourself?
