Sacrifices of Peace Offerings for Thanksgiving

The Israelites not only offered sacrifices for sin, but for peace and gratitude, “The flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offering for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day it is offered…” (Leviticus 7:15-18).
The passage spoke of the eating of the flesh and the exceptions for when it could be eaten the next day along with the day it was offered.
Here is the point, sacrifices could be simply to show God gratitude for peace.
Likewise, let us pray to God often, thanking Him for the good things we have rather than always making requests, or thinking that we only have to pray when seeking forgiveness.
