The Egyptian-Supplied Tabernacle

When you read of the making of the tabernacle and its accessories, you might wonder where Israel got all the precious materials. For the court of the tabernacle, the Israelites had to use fine woven linen, bronze, silver, blue, purple, and scarlet thread (Exodus 27:9-19).
Where did they get all that stuff, since they were only slaves in Egypt? Before the last plague upon the Egyptians, the Israelites were to go to the Egyptians and ask for silver, gold, material, and whatever they wanted (Exodus 11:2; 12:35, 36), and the Egyptians gave it gladly.
This is the kind of thing that Solomon spoke about, “…the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous” (Proverbs 13:22).
Be loyal to the Lord and He will use the world to bless you.
