Confession of Honesty

When Joseph saw his brothers again for the first time after twenty-two years, and they did not recognize him, he tested them, accusing them of spying. However, they countered, “No, my lord, but your servants have come to buy food. We are all one man’s sons; we are honest men; your servants are not spies” (Genesis 42:10-11).
It is one thing to claim honesty and another to live it. Therefore, he tested them more to see whether they were honest, and sure enough, they had changed and become honest men.
We may not understand why some people treat us harshly, like Joseph did his brothers, but it might be a test. Therefore, rather than getting aggravated, we should show ourselves to be honest people.
Be honest!
