Grieving the Lord's Heart

Things start out so beautifully in Genesis 1 and 2, but with the introduction of sin and death into the world by Adam and Eve, things do not look so good anymore. It finally got to the point that the Lord was grieved, “And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart” (Genesis 6:6).
You know what happened after that, the Lord destroyed all people on the earth through a global flood.
When we sin, we hurt the Lord who loves us deeply, but when we continue in sin, we make Him sorry and grieve His heart. That is something we do not want to do. Let us, therefore, repent and live as He directs.
