The Fury of the Lord

Some people reject the Lord because they do not like the idea of the wrath of God. Some people think they can handle the fury of the Lord, such as Timothy McVeigh who believed he could improvise, adapt, and overcome in hell. He, and everyone else, should consider what Nahum said,
Who can stand before His indignation?
And who can endure the fierceness of His anger?
His fury is poured out like fire,
And the rocks are thrown down by Him.
(Nahum 1:6)
For those who reject God because of His wrath, and for those who think hell is no problem, thinking they will just deal with it when they get there, is it such a wise idea to fight such a God as this?
