The Preacher and the Lord

Israel did not like what Amos preached. Therefore, a priest told him to go away, but the preacher said,
“I was no prophet,
Nor was I a son of a prophet,
But I was a sheepbreeder
And a tender of sycamore fruit.
Then the LORD took me as I followed the flock,
And the LORD said to me,
‘Go, prophesy to My people Israel.'”
(Amos 7:14-15)
Amos did not speak his own word, but the word of the Lord. Therefore, the priest did not object to Amos, but to the Lord.
Do you disagree with a preacher? Is it him or the Lord with whom you disagree?
