God Among the Nations

Israel in Egypt worshiped idols (Ezekiel 20:1-9), yet, Israel was known as the people of Yahweh God. Therefore, to preserve the reputation of His name among the Gentiles, He removed Israel from Egypt, “Therefore I made them go out of the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness. And I gave them My statutes and showed them My judgments, ‘which, if a man does, he shall live by them.’ Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the LORD who sanctifies them” (Ezekiel 20:10-12).
If Israel followed the laws that God gave them, then they would show the true nature of the God of heaven, and the nations would be attracted to Him and be saved.
He singled out the Sabbath, which God says He had given as a sign between Israel and Him, and it was not a sign or a command for the rest of the world to keep.
