His Sacrifice

If sacrificing an animal would have sufficed for removal of the world’s sins, God would have ordered it, but the sacrifice of no animal can substitute for the sins of men and women. Therefore, the Bible says, “Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: ‘Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me'” (Hebrews 10:5).
Rather than an animal, God required a human body, but it had to be of one who had never sinned, and that was only true for one person, the Man Jesus Christ. Therefore, God prepared a body for Jesus and He in turn gave it back to God at the cross for our sins.
Praise God that this was done, although we are sorry that Jesus had to suffer for our sins.
