What about Babylon?

Judah had become wicked and the Lord used Babylon to punish His nation, but was not Babylon more wicked than Judah? How could the Lord punish Judah, but not Babylon? The Lord assured Judah that Babylon would suffer also, “Then it will come to pass, when seventy years are completed, that I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, the land of the Chaldeans, for their iniquity…” (Jeremiah 25:12-14).
Babylon’s time would surely come after the Lord had completed seventy years of punishment upon His own people.
When we suffer, we may wonder about the other guy who seems to be more offensive than us, but the Lord knows what He is doing and He will surely deal with the wicked.
