Do You Know the Blessings of Trusting in the Lord?

Jeremiah 17:5, 6 showed that cursed is the man who trusts in man rather than in the Lord, but the next two verses show something much different,
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
And whose hope is the LORD.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit.”
(Jeremiah 17:7-8)
Trusting in the Lord and making Him your hope is like a tree that someone planted by water and the tree sends its roots toward the water. Such a tree survives the heat and drought, but shows its vibrancy through green leaves and a continual crop of fruit.
