Would We Listen to a Young Man?

The Lord called Jeremiah to be a prophet, but he objected, saying that he could not speak well because he did not have enough experience, since he was a young man (Jeremiah 1:6).
However, the Lord told Jeremiah not to look at his youthfulness, but simply speak what the Lord said to speak, and not to be afraid of the people to whom he would speak (Jeremiah 1:7, 8).
Do we disregard someone because he is young, although speaking the truth?
Do we excuse ourselves from speaking because we are young and think no one will listen to us?
The gauge is not the age of the speaker, but whether he speaks the truth.
