Silent Submission to Oppression

Centuries before the Messiah went to trial, Isaiah prophesied oppression against the Messiah, and that He would not object to it,
He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.
(Isaiah 53:7)
Both the Jews and the Gentiles oppressed and afflicted the Messiah, leading Him to the slaughter as though a lamb, but He spoke not one word of protest, remaining silent, keeping His mouth closed. Why did He do it? How was He able to do it?
