The Day of the Lord on Babylon

As Christians we think of the day of the Lord as something wonderful, but for the wicked the day of the Lord just begins the horror. Isaiah 13:6 told Babylon to wail for the coming day of the Lord upon that nation. Here is how bad it would be for Babylon,
Therefore all hands will be limp,
Every man’s heart will melt,
And they will be afraid.
Pangs and sorrows will take hold of them;
They will be in pain as a woman in childbirth;
They will be amazed at one another;
Their faces will be like flames.
(Isaiah 13:7-8)
Hands would become limp, hearts would melt, pain and sorrow would grip each Babylonian, and they would be amazed by what would come upon them.
The day of the Lord upon Babylon becomes a type for the day of the Lord upon the whole world that is yet future.
Let everyone seek the Lord now!
