Dishonoring the Lord's Supper

The Corinthian Church dishonored the Lord’s Supper by not taking it together, and by making it a feast to satisfy their own pleasures. Paul concluded, “Therefore when you come together in one place, it is not to eat the Lord’s Supper” (1 Corinthians 11:20).
If we did not need to eat the Lord’s Supper together, the Lord could have simply told us to eat it on our own. However, He wants His family to come together weekly and to remember what He did in giving His body in a violent death.
Why do you eat the Lord’s Supper and what do you think about when you eat it?
