Helping Our Poor Brethren

Paul wanted to stop by Rome on his way to Spain, but before he made that trip, he had another place to go, “But now I am going to Jerusalem to minister to the saints. For it pleased those from Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are in Jerusalem” (Romans 15:25-26).
The churches in Greece made a financial contribution to their (our) poor brethren in Jerusalem. This showed how the Greeks had now accepted the Jews in Christ.
In Jesus we should learn to accept one another, because He has accepted us. Are you striving to accept people the way the Lord does?

  1. striving to accept people the way the Lord does i believe is explained in john 7;24-judge not according to the appearence, but judge rightous judgment. i here alot of people say today that we are not supposed to judge one another, i think jesus stated in john 7;24 an excellent way we are to treat each other and act accordingly.and in james 5;20 states “let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.” so my observence of today’s society is that we are not supposed to judge but that could not be any farther from the truth of God’s word. this is a very abbrieviated version of my thoughts and biblical knowledge of accepting one another the way the Lord accepts all of us. i trully believe that the bible(KJV) is the very word of God, and it is all we need to obtain salvation. thank you for letting me comment.
