God Reserves a Remnant

While it appeared in the first century that most of Israel of the flesh rejected Jesus as the Christ, and that same appearance holds true today also, we should not get the idea that every Jew has rejected Jesus, for as Paul says, first quoting Elijah, “‘LORD, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life’. But what does the divine response say to him? ‘I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.’ Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace” (Romans 11:3-5).
Even as Elijah had to learn that seven thousand still worshiped the Lord God of Israel, although the prophet could not see them, so in the first century and today, many Jews have become disciples of Jesus Christ.
Whether a Jew is a disciple or not, and whether your neighbors are disciples or not, it does not matter, if you are not a disciple of Christ! Can you say that you truly have given your life to learning from Jesus about life?
