Judges, Do Your Job

Sometimes judges do not keep the law themselves, but set up their own laws. That is a problem now and it was a problem in Asaph’s day. Therefore, he spoke to them,
Defend the poor and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and needy.
Deliver the poor and needy;
Free them from the hand of the wicked.
(Psalms 82:3-4)
Judges should not uphold the wicked, but deliver victims from the wicked. If judges condemn the innocent and defend the wicked, what purpose do judges serve? They have become wicked and need to be replaced.
However, let us pray that God do the replacing.
