The Righteous Requirement of the Law

While the Law of Moses was nailed to the cross, it is also true that the Law still requires something of us, “For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit” (Romans 8:3-4).
The Law was weak, but the problem was not the Law itself, rather it was the flesh of man. Man could not keep the Law perfectly. Therefore, man and the Law did not have perfect compatibility.
However, what the Law required was righteousness and that is still demanded of us, yet, now that requirement can be fulfilled in us who walk by the Spirit.
So then, do you live by what your flesh dictates or by what the Spirit of God dictates?
