Divide and Conquer

You have heard that you should divide the enemy against himself, then you can conquer him. Paul did that to a certain degree when he stood before the Jewish Council and noticed that both Sadducees and Pharisees composed the group. Having more in common with the Pharisees, he then declared his belief in the resurrection, and that quickly brought the Pharisees to his defense, “And when he had said this, a dissension arose between the Pharisees and the Sadducees; and the assembly was divided” (Acts 23:7).
Does the enemy do that to the church? Do we let the enemy divide and conquer us?
