Receiving Preachers

Paul and Barnabas went to the church in Jerusalem, “And when they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the church and the apostles and the elders; and they reported all things that God had done with them” (Acts 15:4).
The Jerusalem Church, the Jerusalem preachers, and the Jerusalem elders all received Paul and Barnabas, treating them as the Lord wants Christians to treat His messengers.
Moreover, the church, the preachers, and the elders listened to Paul and Barnabas report on their work. The church did not consider that Paul and Barnabas bragged, but they reported what God had done through them.
