Beginning a Prayer of Humility

There are three, but not only three, magnificent prayers of humility in the Bible that I want to place before your eyes: Ezra 9, Nehemiah 9, and Daniel 9. Each of the prayers confess the sins of Israel, but they also praise the God of Israel.
After Nehemiah introduced the Levites who spoke the prayer in Nehemiah 9, the prayer begins in this manner. First, they spoke to the Jews in Jerusalem who had gathered partly for this prayer,
“Stand up and bless the LORD your God
Forever and ever!”
Then the Levites began their prayer,
“Blessed be Your glorious name,
Which is exalted above all blessing and praise!”
(Nehemiah 9:5)
Before you speak anything else in a prayer today, start a prayer in a similar manner to these Levites.
