A City with Few People in It

Sometimes crowded cities bother us, but then again, what if we went to a large city and hardly anyone was there? This happened to Nehemiah with Jerusalem, “Now the city was large and spacious, but the people in it were few, and the houses were not rebuilt” (Nehemiah 7:4).
That was depressing and it would be depressing for us. We would think something is wrong. Therefore, Nehemiah began to work on repopulating Jerusalem.
See the church the same way. If the place where you worship looks more empty than filled, do not find anyone to blame, but do what Nehemiah did, work on a plan to bring in more people.
