Some Will Not Like Your Good Works

You can count it, if you do something good, if you seek to improve your congregation, or your place of work, or your neighborhood, some people will not like it. They will then set their sights on you to hurt you. I have witnessed it many times, and you see it in the Bible, “Now it happened, when Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabs, the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites heard that the walls of Jerusalem were being restored and the gaps were beginning to be closed, that they became very angry, and all of them conspired together to come and attack Jerusalem and create confusion” (Nehemiah 4:7-8).
Those people, especially Tobiah, were a constant thorn in the side of Nehemiah and his people, but he did not let that stop him. He dealt with the problem and continued his good work.
