A Disciple of Christ Stood with His Enemies

Officers came to arrest Jesus. He met them and asked whom they were seeking. John wrote this, “They answered Him, ‘Jesus of Nazareth.’ Jesus said to them, ‘I am He.’ And Judas, who betrayed Him, also stood with them” (John 18:5).
Judas, one who witnessed the miracles of Jesus for three and a half years and heard the teachings of Jesus during that time, stood with the enemies of his Teacher. How could he do that?
He loved money. He loved silver. Greed conquered his heart, turning him against his Lord.
Be sure you always control your money and do not let your money control you.
