Israel and Judah

Rehoboam made a mistake by treating Israel roughly when he first became king. They would not forgive him for that. He tried to regain their allegiance, but this happened, “Then King Rehoboam sent Hadoram, who was in charge of revenue; but the children of Israel stoned him with stones, and he died. Therefore King Rehoboam mounted his chariot in haste to flee to Jerusalem. So Israel has been in rebellion against the house of David to this day” (2 Chronicles 10:18-19).
Feuds start between groups of people and it lasts generations, far outliving the original disputants. Do we just like to disagree? Do we just like to find someone with whom we can be at odds? It sure seems like it sometimes.
What kind of disposition do you have? Do you disagree constantly? Do you hold something against a group of people because generations ago, someone in another group hurt the group that you are currently in? Let it go and leave in peace.
