The Bronze Altar

The tabernacle Moses made was in one location during the days of David, but the Ark of the Covenant was in another location, in Jerusalem, and there David made a tent for it. Of the altar, Ezra wrote, “Now the bronze altar that Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the LORD; Solomon and the assembly sought Him there. And Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of meeting, and offered a thousand burnt offerings on it” (2 Chronicles 1:5-6).
Israel still used the altar that Bezalel made during the days of Moses. That was over 400 years! The whole time it had been in a tent. At the tabernacle, Solomon and all Israel sought the Lord and offered a large number of sacrifices upon that very altar.
The Lord was impressed that they sought Him, and so, He appeared to Solomon with an open gift. Be sure to read what the Lord offered Solomon.
What shall the Lord offer us, if we seek Him? What shall we ask from the Him?
