The Goal of a Preacher

One day as John the Baptizer was with two of his students, someone passed by the three. Watch and listen to what happened, “Again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples. And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, ‘Behold the Lamb of God!’ The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus” (John 1:35-37).
Remember yesterday that we looked at John 1:6, which stated that John had come from God? Why did God send John? What I just quoted showed what God wanted John to do.
John’s work focused on the coming Christ, so that when Christ was right there, John pointed to the Christ and John’s disciples did not glorify John, but they followed Jesus the Christ.
In my opinion, you cannot give a preacher a higher compliment than when you hear him speak for you to follow Jesus!
