Words We Do Not Want to Hear

When a man asked the Lord whether few would be saved, Jesus responded that we should strive to enter the narrow gate, because many would seek to enter, but will not be able. He explained further, “When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from…'” (Luke 13:25).
We do not want to hear the Lord say to us that He does not know us and does not where we are from, because we are not His people. He does not want to say those words to any of us, which is why He had said to strive to enter through the narrow gate.
Do not let anything keep you from entering through that gate and let everything you do be something that helps you get through that gate.
