An Unfriendly and Mean World

Sometimes the world treats the servants of God well, and sometimes the world treats the servants of God horribly. Jesus said to seventy men whom He sent before Him to prepare the people to receive Him, “Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves” (Luke 10:3).
Do wolves care for lambs? No, except for how they taste! Wolves have no guilty conscience for the way they treat lambs, nor do wolves listen to logic or Scripture. Nevertheless, the seventy had to remain as lambs.
In generations past, the world had been friendly to Christians, but that is changing rapidly. Just know that you are not the first one to confront such a problem. Disciples of Christ have gone before us and we need to follow their examples, even as they followed the example of Jesus Christ.
