Resigning to Do the Lord's Will

Jesus told His disciples to launch out into the deeper part of the lake and to let down their nets and they would catch fish. “But Simon answered and said to Him, ‘Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net'” (Luke 5:5).
What happened next shows the result of doing what the Lord says to do even if we think it will produce nothing. Simon Peter caught so many fish that his boat began to sink.
Peter had to get to the point that he resigned himself to do the Lord’s will. Peter reached the same point as Esther (Esther 4:16) and Jacob (Genesis 43:14). All three of these people did not think that following the proposed plan would work, but work, the plans did!
Have you hesitated to obey a command of the Lord because you thought it would not work? Resign yourself to do it and see what happens.
