Misjudging People

Moses heard that the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and half of the tribe of Manasseh wanted to settle on the East side of the Jordan. The first thing Moses said to them was, “Shall your brethren go to war while you sit here?” (Numbers 32:6).
Moses assumed that the tribes would not go to war with their brethren. However, once they explained that they would go to war and that they would lead in the battles, Moses excepted their desire to stay on the East side.
