Special Food

When God asks us to do something, He provides the way and the means. He wanted Israel to leave Egypt and enter their own land, which would be the land of Canaan. How would hundreds of thousands of people have enough food to eat as they walked to their new home? The Lord provided bread called manna, “Now the manna was like coriander seed, and its color like the color of bdellium. The people went about and gathered it, ground it on millstones or beat it in the mortar, cooked it in pans, and made cakes of it; and its taste was like the taste of pastry prepared with oil. And when the dew fell on the camp in the night, the manna fell on it” (Numbers 11:7-9).
It sounds like it tasted good, and it was versatile for doing different things with it. Since this became their staple food, it had to be nutritious and filling.
When you read in the Scriptures of something that the Lord wants you to do, do it, knowing that He will open the way and provide the means.
