Sexual Perversions

Leviticus 18:19-23 warned against various sexual perversions, including approaching a woman during her impurity, committing adultery, homosexuality, and bestiality. However, right in the middle of those prohibitions, the Lord also said, “And you shall not let any of your descendants pass through the fire to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God: I am the LORD” (Leviticus 18:21).
Why would God put that information in the middle of warnings against sexual sins? One thing could have been this. From unlawful unions, such as adultery, a child might result. To cover the sin, they might have thought of eliminating the baby by having it pass through the fire of Molech. Abortion or infanticide would be the modern equivalent.
However, the child committed no sin and did not deserve such a fate.
One sin cannot cover up with another sin.
