Children Come From God

Esau and Jacob saw each other for the first time in twenty years. Jacob had eleven sons and one daughter. When Esau saw them, he asked, “Who are these with you?” To which Jacob gladly said, “The children whom God has graciously given your servant” (Genesis 33:5).
Then Jacob’s wives and their handmaidens, with their respective children, passed by Esau (Genesis 33:6, 7).
Jacob understood that children come from God as gracious gifts. Now that I am a grandfather, I will add that this is true about grandchildren also!
How should you treat gifts from God?
