Few things are more rewarding or more frustrating then relatives.
Jacob went to his uncle’s home to escape the wrath of Esau. Jacob fled to one relative to escape another relative. When Jacob arrived at the home of his uncle Laban, Jacob stayed a month and evidently worked hard, because Laban then said to Jacob, “Because you are my relative, should you therefore serve me for nothing? Tell me, what should your wages be?” (Genesis 29:15).
Laban did not want to take advantage of his relative Jacob. Sounds good, so far. However, Laban will change later.
How do you treat your relatives?
