God Specifies the Heir

God had promised an heir for Abram, but after many years Abram still had no son, and for that matter, no daughter. Therefore, Abram thought Eliezer of Damascus, a man who worked for Abram, would inherit all Abram’s things, including the promises from God. However, God knew just what He wanted to do and He spoke to Abram, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir” (Genesis 15:4).
We cannot outguess God or try to rearrange His plans. Even if He makes promises that seem incredible, yet, He is the Creator and He can keep whatever promises He makes, no exceptions!
Do you believe that? Abram did and God considered him righteous for so believing (Genesis 15:5, 6).
