Living Waters

A heavenly messenger brought Ezekiel back to the temple and he observed water flowing from under the threshold and the water increased as it went. The messenger had Ezekiel walk in the water until it was too deep to walk in. Then he said to the prophet, “Son of man, have you seen this?” (Ezekiel 47:6). Then the messenger took Ezekiel out of the water and placed him on the bank of the river where the prophet saw many trees lining both sides of the river (Ezekiel 47:6, 7), much like the picture of Revelation 22:1, 2.
And like the picture in Revelation, Ezekiel learned this about the water, “Then he said to me: ‘This water flows toward the eastern region, goes down into the valley, and enters the sea. When it reaches the sea, its waters are healed. And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes'” (Ezekiel 47:8-9).
Water flows from the Lord’s temple, healing everyone that contacts it. This pictures the pure gospel flowing from the church, healing all who heed the message when they believe and are baptized for the remission of their sins.
