God Knows of Idolatry

Ezekiel saw a magnificent sight, he saw the glory of the Lord approaching the temple from the East. Once the Lord arrived and filled the temple with His glory, He began to speak to the prophet. He explained that the temple was the place of His throne and the place where He dwelt with the children of Israel. That being the case, He said that Israel would no longer defile His temple, “When they set their threshold by My threshold, and their doorpost by My doorpost, with a wall between them and Me, they defiled My holy name by the abominations which they committed; therefore I have consumed them in My anger” (Ezekiel 43:8).
The temple is holy and so is all associated with the Lord and His services. It is not for us to do with as we please with these things.
The same goes for the church, which is the true and heavenly temple. It is His temple, not ours. It should, therefore, honor Him, not us. It pleases Him, not the people that make up the temple. We are living stones in the temple for Him to inhabit us, not the other way around.
It is about Him, not us.
