The Will of the Gentiles Versus the Will of God

If we have suffered with Christ by being crucified with Him, being buried with Him, and then rising to walk in newness of life with Him, all through baptism, then we have to think as He did. He did not live His life in the lusts of men, but for the will of God (1 Peter 4:1, 2). Peter explained, “For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles–when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries” (1 Peter 4:3).
The will of the Gentiles is lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, abominable idolatries, and such like. Have we not spent enough time doing those things? Should we not live as Jesus did, doing the will of God?
Ask yourself today whose will occupies your thinking.
