God Is For You

Ezekiel wrote during the period of the Babylonian captivity. During that time there were few of the Israelites living in their own land. Thus, the mountains of Israel were desolate. However, God used Ezekiel to speak to the mountains that they would again support Israel, “But you, O mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to My people Israel, for they are about to come. For indeed I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you shall be tilled and sown. I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, all of it; and the cities shall be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt. I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bear young; I will make you inhabited as in former times, and do better for you than at your beginnings. Then you shall know that I am the LORD” (Ezekiel 36:8-11).
God was for the mountains of Israel because He was for Israel. He demonstrated that countless times over the centuries.
What more does God have to do to demonstrate to us that He is also for us? He gives us the earth and all her bounties. He gave His Son Jesus Christ. God gives the body of His Son for us to dwell in.
Do you see that God is for you?
