You do not have to be in any kind of leadership position very long before you hear grumbling among the people. It happens in government, in schools, in families, and even in churches. However, James said, “Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door!” (James 5:9).
Did you read that carefully? James by the Holy Spirit said that if we grumble against one another we will be condemned. You can be sure of that, he said, because the Judge stands at the door. He is right there, ready to render judgment.
Watch yourself over the next week, especially at the worship assembly on the Lord’s Day. Do you grumble against any of your brothers or sisters?
