The Witness of God

The writer of the Book of Hebrews warned us against drifting away from the word of God that we have heard (Hebrews 2:1). The writer reminded us of how God dealt with disobedience under the Law of Moses (Hebrews 2:2), which often brought the death penalty, or if it was national, God sent another nation to punish Israel.
However, the writer said that we have heard from a greater representative, saying, “how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him, God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?” (Hebrews 2:3-4).
God witnessed through Jesus, and the apostles, through miracles, showing that He approved fully of Jesus and the apostles and what they said. Therefore, to reject what the apostles said is to reject what God said. How does anyone think he can escape doing such a thing?
