Begging to Help

How strongly do you desire to help your fellow-Christians? Paul said the churches of Macedonia wanted to help their brethren in Jerusalem so much that they did so although the Macedonian churches were very poor. Paul also said about them, “For I bear witness that according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing, imploring us with much urgency that we would receive the gift and the fellowship of the ministering to the saints” (2 Corinthians 8:3-4).
They begged Paul that they might help, even going beyond their capabilities. They could have easily said that they wanted to help, but that they could not and Paul would have understood and not pressured them. Yet, they pressured him that he might allow them to help!
Father, in the name of your blessed Son Jesus the Christ, increase the numbers of Christians and of churches who will beg to help the church in other places as the Macedonian churches did.
