What Your Words Bring to You

Why does one man experience good things with other people whereas another man does not? The answer differs for every situation, but in some situations the following gives insight into what happens,
A man shall eat well by the fruit of his mouth,
But the soul of the unfaithful feeds on violence.
(Proverbs 13:2)
People respond to us according to the way we are and according to the words we speak. If we speak harshly, others will return the harshness. If we speak kindly, people will return the favor. Of course, exceptions happen, but this is the rule.
Therefore, you can eat well, that is, experience good things with other people by the fruit of your mouth. Whereas, if you tend toward violence, expect it in return.
Try what Solomon wrote in the first line. Today, go out of your way to speak kindly, regardless of the situation and see what happens.
