Who Cares About You?

The preface to Psalm 142 says that David had to take refuge in a cave, which he had to do when Saul was after him, leading him to believe that no one cared for him. He wrote,
Look on my right hand and see,
For there is no one who acknowledges me;
Refuge has failed me;
No one cares for my soul.
(Psalms 142:4)
While David may have exaggerated that no one cared for him, because Jonathan cared for David and so did the people who had sided with him when he escaped Saul, but no one in Saul’s government cared for David.
However, David realized that someone did care for him on his right hand and that was the Lord to whom David then prayed.
What do you do when it seems no one cares for you?
